Apply everything you read in your own manner
Don’t follow “ad-literam” these tips or success recipes mainly because they are not for you, in particular. These are general ideas that mostly are created for a general audience. I am not saying that you won’t find valuable content in these type of articles but you have to make a decision what applies to you and what represents you.
For example, I hate hashtags
I understand exactly why they are good, how they would help me in promoting my content (especially in and Instagram or Twitter environment). I’ve tried to use them, but I hate them passionately. I, the person, not I, the brand strategist. For my clients, I strongly put this in the procedures that I conduct (from case to case). But for me, no. I feel like I’m being fake if I type one single hashtag. Of course is stupid and non-sense. Stil, I’ve made my decision that… it is not for me. I think I profoundly dislike the idea that any audience generated by a hashtag is not for me. Who finds me searching content from hashtags? I don’t write for Search Engines, I don’t write for Keywords, and especially I don’t write for Trending Hashtags. Technically, I am wrong. Personally, I don’t give a shit.
